While studying a Diploma of Applied Science (Nursing) at Monash University, Alison's caring role began.
Working as a state enrolled nurse at the local nursing home, and once registered as a Division 1 Nurse, she worked for 10 years, many of those years in aged care.
In 2003 Alison put her nursing career on the back burner to nurture her children, and ignite her creative soul. After studying a Faculty Certificate in Civil Ceremonies at Monash, she was registered as a marriage celebrant.
Since 2003, Alison has blessed, prayed, sung and pronounced.
Each ceremony unique, each one personalised and each one memorable.
Along with her husband, Alison managed their wedding chapel and reception venue, she has worked for White Lady Funerals as a Administrator and Arranger of funerals, and has conducted funerals as a celebrant around all the major crematoriums and cemeteries in Melbourne.
Alison now works in a community service role as a care manager for aged care packages, and her continued search to work in challenging and enriching roles has led her to complete training, as an end of life doula.
She has completed all the required modules in advanced care planning and continues educating herself any chance she can.
Alison is available for intimate marriage ceremonies and is passionate about educating people about their end of life and post death options.
She welcomes any enquiries.
